Details

Mtatsminda runs along Rustaveli Avenue (the main street) up the hillside to the park at the top. Rustaveli has the Parliament, National Museum, Opera House, and hotels like Rooms Hotel. The funicular (reopened 2024) goes up to Mtatsminda Park with old Soviet amusement rides and city views. The side streets climbing the hill have nice residential buildings but get quiet at night. Central location - you can walk to Old Town or Vera from here. Steep in places.
