Warsaw, Poland
Riverside area with food halls, museums, and young crowd. Less touristy than the center with decent English and reasonable prices. Safe at night around the main areas.
Between the city center and the Vistula River. Elektrownia Powiśle is a former power plant that's now a food hall with shops and events - represents how the area has changed. Lots of young professionals and students. The riverside has boulevards where people jog and bike, plus some wild beaches with city views. Museums like the Copernicus Science Centre are here. Many cafes have counter seating and people working on laptops - normal to eat alone. A pedestrian bridge to Praga opened in 2024. Well-lit streets with decent foot traffic at night, especially near Elektrownia. Students mean more English spoken and prices haven't gotten too high yet. Close to the center but less dense.
