Details

The main produce market. Vendors yell prices, tourists crowd the aisles. Good for cheap produce, spices, street food. Gets busy on Fridays before Shabbat. Kerem HaTeimanim (Yemenite Quarter) next door has old whitewashed buildings and narrow streets. Some good restaurants hidden in the alleys. At night the market closes but bars and restaurants open. Less polished than Rothschild. Keep track of your bag in crowds. Some back alleys feel rough after dark - stick to the known restaurant spots.
