Prague, Czechia
Modern business district with good restaurants and craft beer. Safe, normal prices, local crowd. Lacks historic architecture.
Former industrial area that rebuilt after 2002 floods - now it's the modern business district with glass offices, tech startups, and restaurants from young chefs. Just across the river from Old Town, 20-minute walk or one metro stop. Weekdays buzz with office workers at bistros and craft beer bars. Mostly locals, so you get normal prices instead of tourist markup. Staff appreciate basic Czech but English works fine. Safe with business traffic during the day, good lighting at night, private security from the offices. Weekends quieter when office workers leave, but brunch spots stay busy. People working on laptops or eating alone is normal. Modern architecture, not historic Prague, but good food at reasonable prices.

Areas with comparable safety profiles for solo female travelers
Residential neighborhood with good cafes and restaurants, feels safe to walk around. Pricier than other areas but has local atmosphere and easy access to tourist sites.
Baroque architecture and good safety from embassy presence. Trade-offs are steep hills and high prices. Quieter than Old Town while staying central.
Steps from main attractions with good safety and constant activity. Premium prices and crowds, but convenient for first-timers.
