Yerevan, Armenia
The Opera and Swan Lake area has the National Opera House and lakeside cafes. Safe with a cultural atmosphere. Mid to upscale pricing.
Swan Lake sits next to the Opera House, named after Tchaikovsky's ballet. People walk around the lake paths, stopping at cafes and restaurants along the way. You'll see couples on dates, groups celebrating, and people eating alone. Summer evenings have open-air concerts and events. The Opera House hosts performances throughout the year. The area stays active but is calmer than Republic Square - more refined atmosphere. Police are visible and the area stays populated late. Restaurants cater to theater crowds, so service is professional and staff speak English. The cafe scene here is good for sitting alone, similar to Cascade. Pricing is mid-range to upscale.

Kentron is Yerevan's central district with Republic Square, Northern Avenue, and main cultural sites. Safe and tourist-friendly with good walkability, lots of cafes, and active evenings.
The Cascade area has the giant stairway monument surrounded by cafes and galleries. Safe with an artistic vibe, especially if you like cafe culture. Prices are higher than other areas.
Kond is Yerevan's old quarter with 17th-century architecture and narrow medieval streets. Interesting for daytime visits but poor lighting makes it unsafe at night. Visit during daylight only.
